This is a joint project with the Northamptonshire Record Office. It is a ‘finding aid’ with over 1,293,000 names and contains Baptisms/Christenings, Marriages, Burials, Militia Lists, Poor Law Records, Taxes, Licences, Quarter Sessions and Hospital Records. It does not link family members or parties to a marriage. You will need to refer back to the original documents at the NRO for the full details.

Each entry comprises:
SURNAME, FORENAME, DATE, PLACE AND REFERENCE
In addition to the Surname, searches may be limited to a time period, specified place (up to 5) or specific forename. It is helpful if you can narrow down the search criteria when requesting a search. Also, please advise of any known name variants so that these can be included in the search ie Aires, Heirs, Ayres, Hares.

Printouts are available at:
£1 to members per A4 sheet (please quote membership number)
£1.50 to non-members per A4 sheet (each sheet contains approximately 50 entries)
Please enclose an A5 SAE envelope (UK) or A5 envelope and 3 IRC (overseas).
If applicable please include an email address in case of query.

Payment can be made by:

• Cheque in sterling only (payable to NFHS) for correct amount.
• Sending a limited amount cheque marked 'Not to Exceed £xx', we then will fill in the exact amout.
• Or you can pay online via Genfair - you will need to obtain a quote first to ascertain the amount due
