This is an ongoing project. and to date the database covers 108700 marriages from around 250 parishes. Each entry contains the full detailed transcription from the Register including witnesses and whether by Licence or Banns. An index of all the names is included in the Personal Names Database (PND). For blanket searches of a given name you are recommended to search the PND first and then use the Marriage Database to obtain full details of specific marriages. Click here for a list of parishes covered in the database.

Whilst every effort has been made to transcribe the registers accurately no responsibility can be accepted for any errors or omissions contained in the transcripts.Searches can be made from the database and printouts obtained. The cost for a search is £1.00 for members (£1.50 non-members) which includes the first page of any print out (i.e. up to 9 entries). Further entries are charged at £1 per page of up to 9 entries.
Please include an A5 SAE (UK) or 3 x IRC (overseas).

Payment can be made by:

• Cheque in sterling only (payable to NFHS) for correct amount.
• Sending a limited amount cheque marked 'Not to Exceed £xx', we then will fill in the exact amout.
• Or you can pay online via Genfair - you will need to obtain a quote first to ascertain the amount due
