The Personal Names Database (or PND for short) is an index of names of persons appearing in documents deposited at Northampton Record Office. These documents include entries from parish registers (particularly those done for the National Burial Index or for our Marriage Database), Quarter Session records, hospital admission books, militia lists, poor law records and other miscellaneous records.

The database is searchable and is best used as a finding aid for instances of a given surname and/or forename.
