The Society has an ongoing project to transcribe the deposited Burial Registers.
Volunteers help with the photocopying of the registers at the Northamptonshire Record Office and with transcribing, checking and quality control. Each entry on our Burial Database contains the full detailed transcription from the Register. An index of all the names is included in the Personal Names Database (PND).

This ongoing project is co-ordinated by the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) and aims, with the help of the county societies, to transcribe all the burial registers for the period 1813-1837.

NATIONAL BURIAL INDEX 3 WAS LAUNCHED FEB 2010!

and now contains over 18 million entries from England and Wales, the majority of which have been supplied by the county family history societies – including Northamptonshire FHS who have submitted over 319,000 entries from around 314 parishes covering the above dates and beyond.
